Families in Faith

Wednesday Night News:  Join us each Wednesday Night during the season of Lent.   Our youth ages pre-school-fifth grade are learning about following Jesus by studying the life of the Disciple, Simon Peter.  Our lessons during Lent are from the book entitled:  Simon Peter-Flawed But Faithful Disciple, by Adam Hamilton.

There are also learning opportunities for adults.  Pastor Tamke is offering a book study using another version of the Adam Hamilton book listed above.  A short video is also included in the study.  They meet from 5:45-6:45p.m. in Memorial Parlor each Wednesday during Lent.

Some of our parents are also reading and discussing the book:

“How To Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk,”  by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish.  The parents read and discuss the book from 6:00p.m.-6:45 p.m. in Wesley Hall.  Please let me know if you would like a book.

Dates for your calendar:

May 12- Is our last day of Sunday School.

Wednesday, May 15 is our last Wednesday Night Gathering.  We will plan to have a picnic as usual, but please look for more information in the bulletin as we get closer to that date.

I have summer camp brochures available.  Please check with me if you would like one.  There are scholarships available too, and I have the scholarship application forms.

Summer Garden!  We will start our summer garden at the Woodson School Community Gardens as soon as we can!  We might not be able to plant until late May or June.  I will plan to have sandwiches and snacks at the park each Wednesday.  We meet from 5:00p.m.-6:30p.m.   I will send an email and put it in the bulletin and on the Family Ministries Facebook page when I have a start date.

Blessings,
